Bob Girard, Condo Board member, YCC #50
Bob is a Graduate of Concordia University with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He has served on the Board of Directors of YCC #50 for 27 years, most of them as President. He was a Director on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Condominium Institute, Toronto Chapter, and is currently serving on the Finance, Education and Condo Strength Committees. He has taught the Condo 201 course for Directors for several years. Bob has completed the Condominium Management Course at Humber College with Honours, successfully completed the RCM exam and the Mediation Course within Humber College’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate Program. He has also completed the Basic and Advanced CCI Directors Courses and has attended many CCI and ACMO seminars, luncheons, presentations and joint seminars. Bob earned his ACCI designation from CCI in November 2007, and was honoured with the FCCI designation in 2009. He is presently retired from Property Management after 10 years of service.

Maria Dimakas, Associate, Deo Condominium Lawyers
Maria Dimakas is a senior lawyer with Deo Condominium Lawyers, with a practice focused on Condominium Law, representing condominium corporations. Maria takes a candid, practical and strategic approach to advising and representing her condominium corporation clients.
Maria is a frequent guest lecturer at various industry conferences and seminars, including the Canadian Condominium Institute, and the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario, and at educational events and seminars organized by various condominium management service providers.
Brian Horlick, Team Principal at Horlick Condominium Law
Brian Horlick is a graduate of McGill University where he obtained his B.Comm., B.C.L. and LL.B. degrees. He was admitted to the Law Society of Ontario (formerly the Law Society of Upper Canada) in 1984. He holds the ACCI designation (Associate of the Canadian Condominium Institute) and the FCCI designation (Fellow of the Canadian Condominium Institute).
Brian is the the team principal at Horlick Condominium Law and practices extensively in the area of condominium law. He frequently conducts presentations and educational seminars on condominium-related issues. He is a regular lecturer for the Canadian Condominium Institute and condominium management companies and is a regular presenter at the annual ACMO/CCI Condominium Conference. He regularly writes for a number of publications that cater to the condominium community including Condominium Manager Magazine and the CondoVoice. Brian is also a long-time director and past President of CCI’s Toronto and area Chapter. He presently serves on nd the ACMO/CCI Conference Committee.
Harry Herkowitz, Senior Partner at DelZotto, Zorzi LLP
Called to the Bar of Ontario in 1979. Managing Partner and head of the firm’s real estate department. Practice covers a full range of commercial real estate transactions, with particular emphasis on land development and condominium law. Harry has represented numerous developers in the creation of condominium projects throughout Ontario, including mixed-use and multi-phased condominium projects. Harry’s practice also includes the provision of legal opinions on various aspects of real property and condominium law. He has co-authored "Condominiums in Ontario: A Practical Analysis of the New Legislation", published jointly by the LSO and the OBA. Recipient of the Ontario Bar Association’s Award of Excellence in Real Property Law for 2007. Awarded "Fellow of the Canadian Condominium Institute" in 2008. Former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tarion Warranty Corporation from April 2008 to April 2014. Inducted into the BILD Hall of Fame in January 2017 for contributions to the building and development industry in the Greater Toronto Area, and recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017 from the Ontario Home Builders Association. Currently the Co-Chair of the annual LandPro Conference on land development issues, from 2016 to the present.
